Alpha DX MASH TL2 TMA – Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA)

The Alpha DX TL2 is a MASH 2016 Test Level 2 certified Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA), designed to protect workers and drivers by absorbing rear-end impacts at speeds up to 70 km/h (45 mph). This unit attaches directly to older Alpha 70 support frames, making it an ideal upgrade path for fleet managers using legacy equipment.

Built with a crushable aluminium body and a Durashell® nose cone, the Alpha DXM is engineered for superior impact performance. The tapered design helps reduce corner damage and improves aerodynamic flow. The hydraulic tilt system allows operators to deploy or stow the cartridge to a full 90° tilt from the cab, ensuring both safety and storage convenience.

The Durashell® nose is resilient enough to regain its shape after low-speed nuisance impacts, helping to reduce downtime and maintenance costs. A minimum support vehicle weight of 12,200 lbs (5,534 kg) is required for safe operation.
