Highway1’s Safe-Stop 180® Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) is engineered for exceptional roadside safety, combining proven crash protection with a space-saving design. Featuring a unique 180º tilt system, the attenuator folds in half for storage, reducing the overall height to just 2.08 metres (6’10”)—ideal for garages, underpasses, and low-clearance situations.

This TMA has been crash-tested and certified to meet the highest industry standards:

• NCHRP 350 TL-3 (100km/h) mandatory & optional impact tests

• NCHRP 350 TL-2 (70km/h) heavy vehicle test in folded (storage) mode

• Withstands low-speed nuisance impacts up to 10 km/h with minimal or no damage

Its durable steel support frame houses two lightweight aluminium cartridges designed to crush on impact and absorb energy, safely decelerating colliding vehicles and preventing underride. In most standard impacts, the steel frame and strike plate remain intact, meaning only the cartridges need replacement—often completed quickly in the field.
