Bitubind Fiberlizer SMA Cellulose Fibres – 10kg Low Melt Bags
Bitubind Fiberlizer SMA Fibres are high-quality cellulose fibres designed to optimize Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) and Open Graded Porous Asphalt (OGPA) mixes. By holding increased bitumen content in suspension, these fibres prevent “drain down” or flooding, ensuring a durable, high-performing pavement that stands up to heavy traffic.
Why Use SMA Fibres? Stone Mastic Asphalt relies on stone-on-stone contact to spread downward force over a wider area, reducing wheel rutting and increasing pavement longevity. Bitubind Fiberlizer allows for the higher binder content necessary to create this strong matrix without the risk of bitumen flushing to the surface and creating skidding hazards.
Key Benefits:
-
Prevents Drain Down: Absorbs and holds bitumen to avoid “flooding” and messy truck deck cleanups.
-
Enhanced Performance: Supports reduced road noise and superior skid resistance, especially in wet conditions.
-
Efficient Packaging: Supplied in 10kg low melt bags for easy addition during the batching process.
